Facial Implants |
Facial Implants are surgical procedures of which the Plastic Surgeon is been worth to enhance or to modify some facial angles and to give the patient a more juvenile aspect. The most common implants are the malars, chin, nasal (pyramidal cavity) and in very selected cases, nasal implants to increase the area.
Implants are elaborated in different materials; the most common are those of silicone and the osteo-integrates.
Their placement is quite simple; the patient can make implants as isolated procedures or accompany them of some surgery like the Face Lift. When he decides to make an isolated procedure it is an ambulatory surgery that requires post-surgical cares to avoid complications with the implants. Complications might involve infection, hematoma, or the mobilization of the implants, although with the osteo-integrates this last one is not very feasible since these are screwed to the bone.
