It uses the same principle as in body liposuction. It’s an ideal procedure for young people with good quality skin tone, that have a light accumulation of fat, that are able to obtain a good retraction of the neck and face to obtain some appropriate facial angles.
In some special cases this liposuction can be carried out in areas of the face to achieve a better facial contour when the basic problem is fat accumulation.

As in any liposuction procedure, an infiltration solution is used to obtain the hydration of the adiposity or fatty cells and with some small vacuum tubes, as much in diameter as in caliber, the fat is removed until achieving the appropriate thickness of the skin. Once the procedure is concluded the patient is given a chin brace that should de used during the first days and later only during the night. This is a procedure that can be carried out alone or together with other surgeries and the type of anesthesia will depend on the main procedure. If it’s an isolated procedure, the patient will be able to use local anesthesia plus sedation and the surgery will be ambulatory.

It is an almost painless procedure and of very few complications. The bleeding and the forming of and Hematoma are not very common, infections are very scarce, and scars are minimum and almost invisible.
